First, the layout. I used a projector to enlarge the logo. Grain selection was crucial here, since local spruce has a ton of knots. I had to lay it out as best as I could to avoid big knots on the logo.
With the layout finished, the router was used freehand to "hog out" most of the stock to be removed. The horizontal lines across the entire plane are for the router base to rest on, these are easily removed by hand later. Now the chiseling!
